Modified Collaboration Days to begin this fall!!!

Beginning this fall AHS will discontinue the monthly Restructure Days (late start Wednesdays) and join all PVUSD schools in implementing Modified Collaboration Days.

These days will be critical in our journey of continuous improvement and in raising student achievement by having weekly teacher collaboration. Fortunately it will save the district money in transportation costs at the same time.

All schools will end early every Tuesday to allow for this much needed collaboration time. Transportation will be normal - students will be picked up early on Tuesdays and transported to their normal stops. The exact time of the final bell will be determined by August but it will be approximately 12:40pm.

APTOS HIGH SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION PACKET

Dates : First semester: Friday June 12th to June 25th

Second semester : Friday June 26 th to Friday July 10 th (with July 3rd as a holiday)

Daily Schedule:

8:15 to 2:45 (all one class) = 5 credits per semester

There is a snack break at 10:00 a.m., and a free lunch, served at 12:15 p.m.

Bus Route Information : There is limited busing available. For routes and times, go to the following transportation link at PVUSD to see the bus routes by school.

SUMMER SCHOOL OFFICE will open on WEDNESDAY JUNE 10th in the 2nd floor Career Center (I -204)

Daily hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Class Roster information will be posted in the Career Center on Wednesday June 10 th .

We will be using classrooms in the C-wing (portables) and the I-building wings.

Applications are still being accepted by seeing your counselor for an application and transcript.

Late registration is on Wednesday and Thursday June 10th and 11th.

On Monday, May 11th, Grant Buchwald, Claire Kane, and Alex Werdmuller competed in the annual 17th Congressional Art Competition "An Artistic Discovery" Sponsored by the House of Representatives. Three students from each high school within the 17th Congressional District were chosen by their art teachers to entered one work of art with the hopes of winning 1st place. Our very own Alex Werdmuller placed 1st, with Claire Kane in 2nd. Alex will be flown to Washington DC on June 24th with his parents to see his work hung in the White House for the year, where he will attend a ribbon cutting ceremony and with the hopes to meet Obama. Claire's work will be hung in Congressman Sam Farr's Santa Cruz office for the year. Congratulations artists!
