Prerequisite: Spanish as a primary or home
language
This elective, yearlong course continues
the development of reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills
in Spanish. Students are introduced to Spanish and Latin American literature
via a panoramic view of both classic and contemporary works. Students are
empowered through self-expression in writing and speaking, and self-esteem
is enhanced through appreciation of Latino literature and culture. Course
may be taken a second year.
