    Grade Level: 9-12
    Prerequisite: Prerequisite: "C" or better in Spanish 4
    The fourth year course reinforces, refines, and extends fluency and literacy. Students pursue conversations on issues of current interest, relating personal experiences, identifying feelings, forming opinions, and drawing conclusions. In teams, students read and enact short stories, present and explain points of grammar, originate and portray a scene relative to a current lesson. Students will express their needs and experiences regarding medical, dental, and optical care. They will demonstrate defensive driving (or otherwise) as well as how to change a flat or recharge a battery. They will study first aid and disaster preparedness using authentic Spanish language materials courtesy of the American Red Cross. They will make travel arrangements, including documentation and reservations, go job hunting, write resumes and conduct interviews.
