What is the Migrant Program?
Who works for the Migrant Program?
The Migrant Program offers supplemental educational and health services only to migrant students. Migrant students are those who have changed residence (country, state or school district) and who's parents or guardians work in agriculture, food packaging or fishing. These students qualify for three years and may reapply after this time.

  • Academic guidance
  • Portable Assisted Study Sequence, P.A.S.S.
  • Outside Work Experience, O.W.E.
  • Tutoring in subject matter classes by university students who take part in the Mini-Corps and P.U.P.I.L.S. programs.
  • Special assistance and planning for at-risk students.
  • Academic/Career Guidance
  • Special after school and lunch services and programs.
  • Migrant Student Association (MSA)
  • Parent Education Workshops.
  • Dental, vision and health referrals.
Monthly Meetings
Dates

Aptos High School offers monthly meetings for parents of migrant and ESL students. These meetings serve as an opportunity to maintain contact with parents and better serve the individual needs of each student.

Where? In the Aptos High School Career Center.

What time? 7:00-8:30 p.m.

When? Generally the fourth Wednesday of the month. Please see the following calendar for exact dates.
