Applying to Private Schools:

Students planning to apply to private/independent or public out of state colleges and universities must request applications from the individual college admission offices if their applications are not online. If you are planning to apply to colleges using the Common Application, you can fill it out online or download a PDF version from www.commonapp.org/

Applying to Schools on the Common Application:

Students applying to colleges that use the Common App must match their Common App and Naviance accounts in order for teachers to send letters of recommendation to colleges. Updated instructions on the linking can be found .

AHS Application Process:

Aptos High School has its own internal system to process letters of recommendation for students applying to private schools. Complete your Brag Sheet online in Naviance. Ask your letter writers in person and then request them online in Naviance. See your counselor for an envelope/packet to complete and return to your letter writers. Write a thank you note/card!
