GENDER AFFIRMATION SUPPORT PLAN

GENDER AFFIRMATION SUPPORT PLAN

A gender affirmation support plan is intended to create shared understandings about the ways in which transgender youth and gender non-conforming youth will be addressed and supported at Aptos High School.  Students may request an appointment with an assistant principal to complete a Gender Affirmation Support Plan.

UPDATING STUDENT'S NAME AND GENDER MARKER

Aptos High School affirms students' rights to enroll with names or gender different from their official birth certificate and/or official school record.  Thereby, students can be addressed by the name and pronoun that reflects who they say they are.  A School Roster Information Change Request can be submitted to the registrar.
